EARLY DEVELOPMENT · CREATIVE COMMUNITY

A place for creatives
to find each other.

I’m in the early stages of building Tavern, a social platform intended to bring portfolio sharing and creative collaboration into one place.

The idea starts with a problem I care about: talented people and creative groups are often scattered across platforms and geographies, working in isolation. I want to help them connect, share their work, and make something together.

More about the idea

Tavern brings together my interest in the arts and my entrepreneurial drive. My aim is to create a common home where people can show what they do and discover who they could work with.

It’s in early development, and I’m interested in hearing how other creatives find collaborators and share their portfolios today.

MBA TEAM LEAD · GO-TO-MARKET STRATEGY

From student projects
to players’ wishlists.

I led a 3-person MBA go-to-market team working with undergraduate developers on marketing, monetization, and digital distribution strategies for four student-led games.

One of those projects is The Lost Shepherd by Shear Luck Studios LLC. Seeing its team put our ideas to use as they bring their game to market has been a particularly rewarding part of the work.

02 / MY STORY

The creative thread
was always there.

Games. Movie theaters. Jazz bands.
And, yes, spreadsheets.

Two boys playing handheld games on a bed; Noah is on the right in blue.
A lifelong love of games.

I grew up on video games, created a murder-mystery forum, worked at a movie theater, and played saxophone in jazz band through college. Media and entertainment have always been part of how I connect with the world.

I chose accounting to understand how businesses work. A mentor’s advice stuck with me: it’s easier to teach an accountant marketing than to teach a marketer accounting. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, became a CPA, and built that foundation in public accounting.

But I knew I wanted to bring that foundation back to something I loved. I left public accounting to pursue an MBA at UT McCombs, broaden my perspective on business strategy, and get closer to Austin’s creative communities.

A cold outreach led me to Serenity Forge, a publisher whose games resonated with me. There, I learned about the financial decisions and processes behind game publishing. I’ve since helped student developers think through bringing their games to market.

Today, that path is taking shape in Tavern—and in my interest in helping creative people bring their ideas to life.
